You May Feel Out of Your Depth as a Parent
Watching your teen struggle is its own kind of heartbreak. When they pull away from friends, lose interest in what once mattered, or carry stress heavier than they can handle, it’s natural to feel scared and unsure of what to do next. And if they’ve hinted at hopelessness or emotional overwhelm, that fear can sit with you constantly. As isolating as this feels, you are not alone. Many parents have been in this same place and reached out for support.
How Teen Counseling Helps
Therapy gives your teen a confidential, non-judgmental space to talk openly with an unbiased adult. With guidance, they can learn coping strategies to manage anxiety, depression, social challenges, academic stress, and big emotions they don’t yet have words for. Sometimes, simply having a safe person to talk to makes more difference than you’d expect.
A Specialty in Supporting Teens on the Autism Spectrum
I also specialize in working with neurodivergent adolescents. After more than twenty years supporting teens with autism, I understand the unique stressors they face—social confusion, emotional overwhelm, masking fatigue, and the pressure to fit in. Here, they don’t have to mask. Together, we build emotional regulation, communication skills, and confidence in a way that honors who they naturally are.
You Don’t Have to Carry This Alone
I offer adolescent counseling in The Woodlands and via telehealth throughout Texas. If your teen is struggling or you simply need support as a parent, you’re welcome to reach out or schedule an appointment when you’re ready.
I’m here to help your teen feel steadier—and to help you breathe a little easier, too.
